ABSTRACT
This chapter will offer readers an insight into the history of child and family health nursing an awareness of the changing nature and complexity of child and family health nursing, and a comprehensive overview of the contemporary nursing approaches used to work with families and their young children (birth to 5 years) Readers will be provided with an opportunity to consider the depth and breadth of knowledge to work within this nursing speciality, and an overview of the future challenges for nurses working within the speciality of child and family health nursing.
