ABSTRACT
This chapter will offer the reader an overview of the role of an Occupational Health Nurse, and an outline of the key health, mental health and health management issues in nursing the fly-in, fly-out workforce. It will recognise proactive and reactive occupational health management in the work environment, as well as the importance of health monitoring.
