ABSTRACT

The relationship between the public and museums as institutions undergoes constant change in today’s fast-paced world. It has been happening partially as an answer to the public’s needs and expectations—including some of the most challenging groups: Millennials and Gen Z-ers. University students represent a significant part of the younger demographic and form an easily defined group of individuals. The purpose of this chapter is to study students as the museums’ public, from the point of view of both museums and students themselves.
