ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book focuses on neoliberal economic globalization policies and their negative consequences for women. It discusses the possible futures of democracy in re-globalization with special attention being paid to the subjectivities of citizens. The book also discusses the concept of “algorithmic governmentality” and show how artificial intelligence and governance processes can be integrated. In particular, the COVID-19 pandemic has stimulated many critical discussions on the global economy on various social, political, and academic levels in Specifically, they discuss a feminist international political economy theoretical perspective and suggest that trade policies are compatible with globalist feminist prerogativeswhich structural reforms are considered necessary. The book deals with labor and which global and regional changes are especially important for highly skilled workers in the re-globalization setting.
