ABSTRACT

This chapter is an introduction and overview of the chapters in this collection, which highlight individual stories of migrants, showcase innovative research methods, and explore concepts and theories that might be usefully applied toward learning needs in a migration society. It reflects on the particularities of migration in specific societies throughout the book, placing emphasis on common challenges and questions, current practices, and unresolved problems. The dialogue between the authors of these chapters creates an international perspective on the role of adult education in addressing migration. This chapter urges the reader to engage meaningfully in reflection and invites them to explore new possibilities, especially as they relate to learning, change, and even transformation in a migration society.
