ABSTRACT

This chapters brings together different perspectives on teaching literary urban studies (LUS), drawing from experiences of teaching particular courses on city literature. The chapter considers different themes in teaching LUS: (1) teaching generalist courses on the city in literature; (2) the city in non-LUS courses; (3) teaching courses on specific literary cities; (4) teaching interdisciplinary courses; and (5) methods and resources for teaching LUS. In a final section, the chapter looks toward possibilities for further collaborations and future directions.
