This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book involves scrutinizing each and every element of lives in the attempt to make sense of the world in which the people live. When they start to scrutinize engagement with fiction, it turns out that there are lots of puzzles to explore. Indeed, drama, horror, and tragic fiction are extremely popular genres. The silent movie Birth of a Nation celebrates the Ku Klux Klan as a heroic organization, asking the reader to imagine that white people are superior to people of color.
