ABSTRACT
In reviewing the methodologies and methods that the volume's contributors have offered, alexander and Pasque summarize common themes, practices, and considerations in each of its three sections. First, they elaborate on the necessity of transformation, expansion, and specificity as part of Setting the Context for doing and sustaining culturally responsive work. They then identify common qualitative themes of researcher liminality, community work, and resistance of white supremacy as part of innovating scholarship. Next, they summarize quantitative and mixed methods themes of problematizing traditional modeling and computational methods, using unique modeling and adjusting computations, and operationalizing literature and theory through analyses in promoting culturally responsive research. alexander and Pasque end the chapter by offering readers a vision for the future of culturally responsive research, including recommendations and reflexive questions in support of readers developing and sustaining their own culturally responsive research practices.
