ABSTRACT

Up until now this book has been focusing on ways to integrate collaborative research designs with the crafting and demonstration of analysis and the reflective ‘in between notes’, which lead to analytical points and conclusions. Heading towards the end of the book, a chapter is dedicated to sharing some concrete experiences of thinking the ‘how to’ of generating the empirical material for a study. This chapter is a hands-on bouquet of ideas for producing empirical materials apt for disturbance and joint discussions. The author describes different ways of designing approaches to generate empirical material for a qualitative study. She draws on university courses, research and activist contexts from which she has gained much inspiration. The empirical material thus stems from different research contexts.
