ABSTRACT

The chapter demonstrates the possibilities embedded in memory work, through the exemplification of one way, of many, to go about such a collaborative process. This particular memory work process was conducted by a group of feminists from the long-gone Redstocking movement in Denmark. The group had decided to explore their longings for activism in their lives. Through the analysis of one of the stories, the chapter touches upon some of the inbuilt strengths, dilemmas and paradoxes of the method. It shows how the writing of small memory texts mobilizes affects and longings in the group and at the same time opens up space for new ideas and joint political practices.
