ABSTRACT

This chapter covers COVID-19 oral histories of academic leaders, faculty, and students in higher education at a mid-sized Midwestern University. The chapter details how the abrupt shift to online learning and teaching caused various challenges for administrators, teachers, and students alike. This oral history is focused on the experiences of international students studying in the USA during the pandemic. This chapter concludes with some discussion about the use of oral history as a methodology for understanding educational issues and offers some pedagogical implications.
