ABSTRACT
Historical wars of conquest against Indigenous peoples have always sought territories and natural resources, and it has always been contested epistemologically by shamans and Indigenous political leaders. Recent publications from Indigenous intellectuals, based on life experiences, are innovating the epistemic dimension of conquest and colonialism under the extreme right-wing government of Bolsonaro. This chapter presents some of these views and argues for a creative counter-conquest movement.
