ABSTRACT

The work is thus a homage to the discussion of our disciplines and the knowledge they produce. Arguably, through this process, we not only improve our own leadership but have the potential to train leaders in other disciplines, empowering their leadership approach. Jamieson's suggestion that collaboration takes time is accurate to develop a trusting team. Collaboration outside of the School is also key for us. As Jamieson states, there is an intense need to ‘connect with the wider context in which your programme exists'. Both have been made immensely difficult by the COVID-19 pandemic; indeed, quick fix solutions and safety protocols had to take over most thinking. Jamieson offers a solution: when nobody is certain how to proceed, having knowledge from many perspectives might co-construct the best possible solutions.
