ABSTRACT

The chapter begins with an overview of the development of EI construct in Croatia after it appeared for the first time in Vladimir Takšić’s doctoral dissertation in 1998. Then it describes the instruments that emerged in Croatian settings, namely the Emotional Skills and Competence Questionnaire and the Emotional Regulation and Control Questionnaire, as proponents of self-reported scales; and the Perception of Affective Content in Art test, the Emotional Analysis Test, the Vocabulary of Emotion Test, the Test of Emotional Understanding, and the Emotion Management Test as ability tests. Lastly, it describes the scope of the field today and recommends issues for future research.
