ABSTRACT

This paper suggests an interpretation of the position Husserl takes in Logical Investigations with regard to the nature of natural numbers. The proposed interpretation is based on Kit Fine’s defense of a Cantorian conception of natural numbers. Although Fine’s position is not put forward as an interpretation of Husserl’s conception of natural numbers, nor can it be seen as such, I argue that it provides an excellent foundation for interpreting Husserl’s position.
