ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book provides insight into coaches’ and teachers’ experiences of interpreting and implementing a Game Sense approach across the globe. It offers a truly international perspective with rich diversity of experiences in making sense of, and using, Game Sense as it has spread across the world into cultures far removed from its origins in Australian sport. The book describes how culture and context influence learning and pedagogy. It describes the opening keynote at the 6th International Game Sense for Coaching and Teaching Conference , which took place in Tokyo in November 2019. It outlines the clear alignments of standards with Game Sense in several countries, highlighting the cognitive domain, such as developing critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment are important educational outcomes that span all content areas.
