A witch is a man with four eyes and in his stomach witchcraft that is a malignant power allowing him to send his double at night to harm his enemies, give from early childhood a magical power such as witchcraft. By refusing to admit the reality of witchcraft the missionaries then turned the 'parishes an asylum for witches of all kinds seeking to shelter themselves from persecution. The very notion of natural death has disappeared and nowadays every death is ascribed to a witch', which according to him explains why so many people are deserting the mission-founded churches to join nativistic ones. Others were denying the very existence of witchcraft, thus opening the door of the churches to witches who feared persecution by the populace. During the Regional Consistory of 1962 we tried to discuss the topic of witchcraft.
