ABSTRACT
Marine pollution can have a disastrous impact. It poses a significant and continuing threat to the world’s oceans, contributing to environmental degradation of marine areas, depletion of species and damage to the entire ocean ecosystem. This chapter explores the international environmental law relating to marine pollution. It will also consider the current governance gaps, emerging challenges and the future of regulation in this area.
