Leadership in combat writing assignments – in extremis

The course objective for PL471: Leadership in Combat is to provide an advanced study of leadership in the Army profession – leading soldiers during times of imminent physical danger as combat leaders. This course provides cadets with new knowledge via behavioral and social science theory and research discussed in the context of combat. At the end of the course, cadets are better prepared to demonstrate leadership in combat environments because of a greater understanding of human behavior in in extremis situations.
