ABSTRACT
A classroom teacher recounts briefly how he and a colleague in his teacher education program used clips from Richard Linklater’s 2003 film, School of Rock, to create a discussion-based lesson about teacher authority. The contents of the lesson outline are adapted here for publication as a book chapter but could be used by Pre- or In-Service Teachers as the basis for professional discussion.
