ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to discuss how collective knowledge can be constructed through a digital research-oriented learning activity in order to support the needs of a third-year cyberpsychology course. After their active participation in lectures, online seminars, online discussion forums and journal club sessions, the third-year psychology students work independently to create their own web-based blog post on a cyberpsychology topic and exchange views with others in order to collectively construct the group knowledge. For the evaluation purposes, quantitative and qualitative analysis explore students’ engagement with the blog posts and students’ contribution to the group research understanding. Overall, through this process, the undergraduate psychology students can not only construct their own knowledge collectively within a university context but also develop or enhance their digital capabilities.
