ABSTRACT

The artificial neural network (ANN) has been widely rising over the last few years; in 1953, Warren S. McCulloch, a neuroscientist, and Walter Pitts, a logician, developed the first conceptual model of an ANN. “A neural network is a system composed of many simple processing elements operating in parallel whose function is determined by network structure, connection strengths, and the processing performed at computing elements or nodes.” A neural network (NN) is a series of algorithms that attempts to identify underlying relationships in a set of data by using a process that mimics the way the human brain operates. NNs have the ability to adapt to changing input so the network produces the best possible result without the need to redesign the output criteria. An NN is a computational approach, which is based on a large collection of neural units, loosely modeling the way a biological brain solves problems with large clusters of biological neurons connected by axons.
