Interviewing in the context of gender and sexual diversity

This chapter is focused on providing some context and rationale to explain why a person’s gender and sexuality is important to consider in policing and interviewing specifically, while also recognising this type of diversity may not be considered a vulnerability by some within the LGBTQIA+ community. The chapter provides practical suggestions to reduce assumptions about gender and sexuality, thereby encouraging inclusive policing practices in interviewing.
