ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in small businesses moving quickly online. This digital transformation resulted in rapid change and an increased emphasis on digitalization. As a result, there has been more emphasis on digital transformation to enable small businesses to compete in the global marketplace. The aim of this chapter is to understand the way digital technology has been utilized by small businesses during the COVID-19 crisis. This includes discussing the role of crisis management and entrepreneurship in the digital transformation process. Thereby paving the way for a better understanding about the integral need to utilize digital forms of entrepreneurship to survive and thrive in uncertain times.
