ABSTRACT
This case study describes how Evergreen Community Charter School has incorporated outdoor learning and adventure into its curriculum and culture. Readers will learn how two of the school’s teacher-leaders worked with supportive administrators and community partners to put in place structures that support adventure programming and hands-on outdoor learning experiences. They will also learn how these programs and experiences engage students in physical activity and experiential learning during and after school, on and off campus.
