ABSTRACT
This case study describes how Oak Park Unified School District implemented its Climate of Care, a whole-child approach to well-being and education. Readers will learn about the components that inform the district’s Climate of Care and how this approach is reflected in the district’s focus on character development; ethical and compassionate behavior; social and environmental responsibility, service, and global stewardship; and recognizing and embracing all cultures, communities, and people of all abilities. They will also be introduced to some of the programs, activities, and initiatives that support the Climate of Care ethos.
