ABSTRACT
This case study describes how Discovery Elementary School was designed to serve as a 3D textbook for experiential learning. Readers will learn about the collaborative design process and how Discovery’s building features were intentionally designed to serve as teaching tools. They will also learn how teachers are integrating the school building and grounds into the curriculum across all grade levels with examples covering lessons in energy, waste, hydroponics, and biodiversity.
