ABSTRACT

This case study describes how the Academy for Global Citizenship has set out to design and build a net-positive school campus. Readers will learn about the visioning process and why school leaders decided to pursue the Living Building Challenge to inform the school’s design. They will also take a “tour” of the net-positive campus and its notable features and learn how the buildings and grounds will be used as a 3D textbook for lessons on energy and water, watersheds and ecosystems, and food and farming.
