ABSTRACT

In this chapter we review the concept of organisational resilience at the individual, team and organisational levels. The main aim is to present the latest findings on the factors that help to build organisational resilience, taking into account the diverse human resource management practices related to resilience in teams and organisations. The role of corporate social responsibility towards employees, work–family balance, leadership, teamwork, collective efficacy and other factors are analysed as potential promoters of resilience. Finally, we provide a summary of practical guidelines to help future managers build resilience in the workplace.
