ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book describes a great deal of research that suggests that engaging professionals and beginning professionals in strategies of reflective practice, and, particularly, critically reflective practice has the strong potential and often the clear evidence to demonstrate an increased consciousness of an individual’s and/or a group’s ‘passionate creeds’ and thus a deeper understanding of what informs their professional decision making and actions. It explores the already stated caveats regarding the limitations of, and challenges faced in the Office of Learning and Teaching project, the following summarise our conclusions and recommendations. The book provides unequivocal evidence of such a conclusion, and include a strong recommendation to any future program to develop effective strategies for professional learning in reflective practice.
