ABSTRACT

This chapter brings together the enmeshed experiences of deaths that have been a part of the author’s life. Using an autoethnographic approach she has tried to give structure to her personal experiences, to bring to the fore the power of a death event and how it works at bringing together past, present, as well as future deaths. This chapter presents that no death is unfamiliar, and each death is connected to the other in unique material, social, and psychological ways, irrespective of whether these deaths have been witnessed in real time or not.
