ABSTRACT

Today, it is rare for a professional team sports club to not use technology in order to achieve improvements in players’ physical fitness, tactical or technical dimensions, or to reduce injury incidences, among other benefits. In this sense, sales opportunities of these technologies are derived from an exponential increase in the companies that offer these products. Subsequently, the many derivative companies has led to a large number of devices with very different characteristics. In this sense, the objective of Chapter 1 is to present the standardization of the large number of possibilities that this market offers, where the technology has been named electronic performance and tracking systems.
