In order to engage in a multilateral discourse on employability skills among working professionals, this chapter considers the perceptions of both employers and employees. The chapter focuses on mapping the educational background (general, technical, or professional) of employees with their skill gaps, identifying the differences in college/university experiences of employees from various educational backgrounds, and studying the need for off-campus coaching/training for skill development based on their educational background.
