ABSTRACT
This chapter proposes that entrepreneurship education can play an important role in shaping the mindset of youth and fostering the right entrepreneurial attitude among them. It discusses the need and curricular as well as pedagogic issues of entrepreneurship education in the country and throws light on its entire eco-system in general. Discussing the growing importance and evolution of entrepreneurship education in India, the chapter identifies the existing gaps and challenges of this sub-sector including the recommendations to strengthen this domain of education in our country. This chapter details out the case of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), a pioneer institute in entrepreneurship education in India.
