ABSTRACT

This essay focuses on thirteen projects by feminist-aligned individuals and examines an aspect of their creative practice as it relates to an activist agenda. The projects were chosen to represent a small survey of diverse practices from around the world. The creative work discussed in this essay addresses a range of issues, from the body (representations of, ideas about gender, age, body form), the environment, immigration, information, classification, representation, and the construction of narratives about the world in which we live.
