Drawing on her career in higher education in Europe and beyond, and decades of dialogue with Josef A. Mestenhauser, Teekens applies a European perspective to his leading concepts. Systems perspectives, mobility, intercultural learning outcomes, organization of the discipline, internationalizing the curriculum, culture and personal development, and the impact of international education are addressed. Her comparative approach sheds light on areas of debate and opportunity.
