ABSTRACT

Internationalization of higher education is not a destination but a journey without end, says McQuaid. While Josef A. Mestenhauser,s dreams to fully integrate an international perspective into the academy and empower all students to engage in meaningful cross-cultural engagement remain elusive, she argues that progress has and is being made. International educators must highlight successes while building on them to reach across the geographic and philosophic divides in ways that inspire rather than defeat further progress.
