ABSTRACT

There are many objects or stimuli in daily life, at home, at school, on the way to work, on TV broadcasts, social media, and environment. Over time, people begin to feel unfamiliar with these stimuli they see constantly and begin to recognize them. People are evaluating these familiar stimuli. In this evaluation process, positive approaches emerge in liking, trusting, preferring, and purchasing compared to other stimuli. Visitors who travel outside of their permanent residence also encounter similar situations. When a tourist who goes to the hotel is constantly exposed to similar local dishes, he becomes unfamiliar with local dishes. After a while, the local dishes he/she is exposed to begin to look familiar compared to other local dishes.
