ABSTRACT

This introductory chapter to the second book in the Routledge Focus on Team Academy book series examines briefly the place and purpose of the Team Academy (TA) model in entrepreneurship education and indicates how and why the model has grown in popularity and interest over the last 3 decades. The chapter then briefly explores the editors’ decision to create the series, highlighting how the editors arrived at the decision to create not 1 book, but 4. The chapter concludes with consideration of what the content of this particular book, Team Academy in Practice, investigates in more detail. In particular, focusing on the different contexts and learning environments in which TA pedagogical and cultural practices coalesce, through the stories, experiences, and research of those engaged in the practice.
