ABSTRACT

As a Team Coach at Team Academy Amsterdam, it has become clear to me that there is a steep learning curve to adapt to the TA system, even for experienced professional coaches. Although Team Coach training & development programmes are provided within the Team Academy international network, they are not always accessible or adapt their methodology to other contexts. My motivation to develop this research comes from my own need to better understand the theoretical foundation behind the team coaching practice and to further develop into a successful Team Coach. The exploration of different Team Coach success factors, across five different Team Academies, contributes to the design of an integrative framework. This framework visualizes a learning and development path, supporting organizations in designing their own programmes to support Team Coaches in their learning journey towards success.
