ABSTRACT
The four chapters to which my discussion is addressed all deal quite directly with the theme of the symposium, as indeed all the chapters do in their own ways. These show a greater attention to affective processes in Chapters 8, 9, and 12, and more direct attention to conative processes in Chapter 13. All of them, at the same time, pay due respect to cognition.
