ABSTRACT
Design practices are driven by capitalist ideologies of human consumption and supply budgets. These budgets are often informed by data obtained through Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Factors not generally included are the importance of understanding bioregionalism and our ethical obligations to encourage a more sustainable future. This chapter focuses on the conflicts and symbiosis derived from capitalism and the need to preserve bioregionalism for a sustainable future.
