ABSTRACT
Design can enhance resilience in multiple ways. Given the increasing impacts of climate change architects are now responsible for incorporating resilient design into their projects. Requirements for resilient features are finding their way into building and zoning codes and more efforts along these lines are bound to follow. Programming for resilience involves a full assessment of potential risks and careful analysis of various response strategies, from flood proofing to Passive Survivability.
