ABSTRACT
Narrative is inherent in all built spaces, from the one-liner to novel-length complex and nuanced plots and subplots. In this chapter, the importance of a good story as a narrative hook is explored, as is the place of the narrative in design practices from day-to-day work in the studio, annual evaluations, and project descriptions.
