ABSTRACT
This journalistic article details a visit to the 2015 Milan Expo, titled “Feeding the Planet—Energy for Life” and the contradictions between the event’s aspirations towards sustainability and the unwelcome presence of food giants such as McDonald’s and Coca-Cola. Scandals and corruptions associated with the construction, procurement, and programming provide a backdrop of irony to the glitter of the event.
