ABSTRACT
What was hitherto identified, diagnosed, or labelled by traditional clinic-based diagnosticians and therapists is now being taken over by engineers and technocrats. The present chapter highlights the various measures on assistive technology, their impacts, challenges, issues, and opportunities for ethical use on specific clinical conditions, especially regarding demand−supply and awareness-application gaps among the potential beneficiaries, caregivers, and healthcare providers in the country.
