ABSTRACT

From rationalising the key focus and the discourses entailed in this volume to the ‘blow hot – blow cold’ relationship between the subcontinental neighbours since Partition and the creation of three new states of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, this introductory chapter brings to the fore specific questions and ambient research prerogatives that the volume has attempted to address. Presenting a succinct theoretical and conceptual framework of the volume, the chapter theorises the academic dialogue that the study initiates between these postcolonial academies and provides an overview of the book.
