ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the principles of the group process in Psychotherapeutic Playback Theater, through presenting applied tools that may advance the group process in dealing with the developmental tasks defined by the McKenzie & Livesley model of group stages. The chapter focuses on ways in which the conductor can use pre-prepared theatrical forms to facilitate various developmental tasks of different stages in the group process, give them tangible expression and use them as interventions that enhance the group’s developmental process.
