Introduction

Intelligence is referred to as “the world’s second oldest profession”. While intelligence is an ancient activity, the digital age is a relatively new phenomenon. Firstly, this chapter introduces this book’s two key concepts, “intelligence” and “digital age”, and the importance of seeing these in context. Secondly, the chapter presents the different topics discussed by the authors of this book.
