In the digital age, it has become more challenging to capture the attention of decision-makers. Importantly, if an analyst’s assessments do not get attention, they have no relevance as support for decision-makers. Today, the competition to be listened to is fierce, not least when it comes to catching the attention of busy policymakers. Therefore, in order to succeed, an analyst must be able to handle the following challenge: Without compromising on professional substance, he or she must be able to present an assessment of even the most complicated intelligence problem using only a few sentences.
